Carolina Trust Federal Credit Union began as Myrtle Beach Air Force Base Federal Credit Union in April 1958. The beginning came as a result of interest in credit union services expressed by personnel assigned to the Base. With only one employee and one small office in a Base-provided building, the Credit Union began our heritage and tradition of providing members with a special kind of financial service.
Your Credit Union is a unique financial organization. While our services are comparable and often superior to other financial institutions, our mission is very different. As a not-for-profit financial institution, we exist to provide services to our members - our owners. The profits that we earn are returned to you, the member/owner, in the form of higher dividend rates on savings and lower interest rates on loans.
